I've just become a Pelland fan, pure and simple. For this, I blame Ken.

This was just a short little taste of what she can do. But I'm bonkers over her Unwelcome Bodies collection. "And the Plague Thereof was Exceedingly Great" was a fantastic story, both horrifying and touching. I still think about that from time to time.

I liked this one okay...no where near a true indication of the talent the woman possesses. It's a little cliche and extremely short, but it's cool....yo!

It's flash fiction, and serves its purpose well. Short and tasty.

I don't see this being the type of story that will sell a reader on her skills as a writer, but I demand someone read THE LAST STAND OF THE ELEPHANT MAN and not be floored. That is one of the best short stories I've ever read.

Not a fan of zombies. So the only positive thing I can say is, for it's length, this is an excellent example of how microfiction is constructed. (C'mon, Jennifer, next time give ST something bigger and better!)

Oh yeah? I'm interested in what you think of "The Dead March."

Just popped in because of the name Jennifer Pelland. I read the story Last Stand Of The Elephant Man not too long ago. You're right on that one, Ken, best story ever. Ever, MO. I have a link for it if anyone's interested.

It is indeed a brilliant story. I'd vote it into a Best Of collection any day.

Yep. She's definitely someone with a lot to say about the world that knows how to disguise it. It's up for anyone who'd like a read at transcriptase.org
