I know I'm the resident skeptic on e-books, but when issues like this keep cropping up, I keep right on being skeptical.

A company that produced an app to sell e-books on Apple products is going out of business because Apple glommed up all their profits:

And here is a column by a fan of e-books that illustrates perfectly why I just don't trust them.

Here's the money quote:

One nice thing about dead-tree books, even though they cost more than electronic ones and take up more space: Once you own one, its capabilities aren’t subject to change…
